2015 has been the year of the “action plan”.
Among the many plans drafted this year have been a National Ice Action Strategy, National Road Safety Action Plan, the National Plan to Reduce Violence against Women and their Children, the Threatened Species Strategy, Freedom from Fear Action Plan and a National Plan for Protecting Australia’s Children. Even the OECD got in on the act with a 15- point Action Plan on Base Erosion and Profit Shifting to ensure multinationals pay their fair share of tax.
Evidence suggests an abundance of planning but not much action.
