Rather than offer a genuine apology for a staff member assaulting her father, management at Japara‘s aged care home threatened and attacked Ms Hausler.
This is yet another example of an incident in an aged care home escalating because the provider was afraid of litigation. It demonstrates the importance of providers taking relatives’ concerns seriously – and taking prompt action.
