Climate change is a mortal threat to every government and person in the world.
Until climate change conjures up fear equal to a random beheading, we will continue to spend billions protecting Middle East oil supplies. Yes, we can give pause to Islamic state just as we gave pause to Al Qaeda, just as we gave pause to the Taliban.
We didn’t know the name of the next terrorist group, but we do know the name of the coming planetary catastrophe: climate change.
Investment in 100% renewable energy would save money and lives and free us from involvement in the endless internecine conflict between Shia and Sunni.
